Vocals were cool on this. Haha, you did a pretty good job. I can't critique sound quality, cause I'm at work and my speakers there, suck donkey balls. So it didn't make my ears bleed...therefor.. good. haha. Anyways, you have to look at whos listening to your songs to understand why they don't like the vocals. I don't know. I have been listening to metal longer than most NG'ers have been alive. Don't take it to heart... There were "produced" heavy metal bands that sounded much much worse than this. haha.

The only thing I can offer is...the lower gutterals were awesome. The medium growl sing, sounded a bit like constipation grunt. Which is a great start for a heavy sound..just get some more airflow on them...and they will be wicked.

hahaha, just wanking ya, bro. Simply put...it KICKED ASS! Had some aggression and some mellowness. It wasn't repetitive as you've arranged it quite nicely. Keeps one listening. Awesome tune, dude.\m/

Nice one, there man. Your recording is pretty damn nice, but that is only expected of you now. hahaha.
From 1:30 on it sounded a bit confusing, to me anyways, just lots going on. The layers seemed to drown out each other. It might have been the bass. I don't know. Otherwise really cool intro, you should tweak the velocity of the drums through the intro only, to be a tad softer. The kick in was awesome though, to the distortion. Transition was wicked. :D
But who am I kidding. Still 5 for you. Finish this fucker. How was the holiday?

About the end part. The "chaos" was intended, since it's "twisted" hehe. I've also recorded the bass pretty bad on this, just testing out some stuff and I was to lazy to re-record so that every section fits. Tweaking the velocity is a good idea. I might keep that in mind. ;)

Its ok, i don't talk to the kid anymore. He stole my Randall Half Stack, BBE Sonic Maximizer, Boss Noise Supressor, and a bunch of wires after a concert one night. I got the stuff back but half of it was broken. He's lucky I still give him credit for making this song.

I'm actually using a Boss-BR600. I use a Shure SM57 for vocals going through a $65 ART mic pre. It gets the job done! The guitars are giong into the mic pre and then using the COSM effects on the boss. Same for the Roland V drums I use.

The reason I had to cut the frequencies is because I had already made 1 master track with all of the intruments mixed together, and on my headphones could hear them fine but the next morning I listened to it on my monitors and I couldnt hear the the vocals. Since it was just 1 master track, there was no way for me to adjust the vocal volume besides using the master EQ to make some cuts.

since i still have the instrumental version, Im gonna re-record the vocals, only this time I'll be sure to turn them up when mixing and NOT use my headphones like last time hahaha
