awesome man.

I think your drums could use some eq, to fatten them up. The stock sound of ezdrummer is a tad weak. But actually, this was pretty good man, your synth guitars are sounding better everytime. I liked the melody of the synthy thing a lot. The transitions could have been a bit better. I'm not sure how...just smoother. Careful with your drum beats. They can make things sound out of place. Otherwise, man...sorry for the critique, but you are quite good, and this has a ton of potential. I voted the 5 anyways..cause I like it as a whole.

You really said exactly all the things I thought was wrong with this song. Im never really good at Eq'ing and the transitions didnt go smoothly along with repetitive and at times, annoying and out of place drum beats. Im still working at it though. Thanks for the critisism though; Im always open to it Bad Man! My one goal is just to make an audio of the week and I think Im getting closer to achieving this! \m/

Hmmm...

To all the twats that don't listen to metal and rate this low..

GTFO.
We don't come to your gay ass motherfucking world, lay a crappy review down cause we don't wank to YOUR FAVORITE GENRE (politically correct and ALL)...then zero bomb. Cause we are too cool for that shit.

Fuck off and die a long painful death. Preferably where sledgehammers and rusty needles were used.

Oh hey gore. Nice tune, wankerfuckerofwellington!!!!!!

Amen to that. As soon as I uploaded this it was hit with 2 zero votes straight away. I even put next the the title in brackets, 'metal' so that people who don't like metal would have no fucking reason to click the song, but they did anyway and voted a shit score on it. Wankers.

Anyway, cheers and beers for listening man!

Sweet man.

Dig this shit a lot, my brother.\m/

Awesome man

Love the western flare you got. Like a heavy metal version of Gerudo Valley or something. Well thats what it made me think of. You picked a shitty day to submit here. haha. Tuesdays SUCK!

Anyways, brought your score up a little. Can't wait to hear this with some vocals!

Awesome solo too.

AngelsDontKill responds:

Thanks, man! Yeah, a friend wanted me to write something like Ghoultown, only with a metal twist more than rock. I kept thinking of some dark ghost town where the only thing to hear is the wind and crows. Imagery usually helps my music flow. The solo was a little sloppy in parts maybe, but I did my best at the time of recording. Thanks for your words, man, you rule \m/

Pretty decent.

This was definitely different man. Wicked remix on this. I liked the high voice. It worked really well for this. There was a bit of clipping, though..but no big deal.
I really liked emphasis on the bass line in the original. I was a little saddened to not hear as much of an emphasis on it here. Although, this was pretty cool anyways.

MusicIsBliss responds:

haha thanks, yeah, i recorded myself singing about 7 times, only liked 3 takes, and then went through and chose which of the 3 i sang each line best. there were 2 spots where all 3 versions i clipped a letter, but was too lazy to re sing. I tried to emphisise the bassline in the beginning, but ive been working on toniung down my bass lately because it tends to overpower my treble and in the end making my mix feel less "full"

but thanks for the reveiw, enjoy the good critisism

wee.

Cool shit bro.

Did I just learn something here? Goddamnit.

haha.

Oh yes, I believe that you did learn something there.

But there wasn't anything that a Wikipedia entry wouldn't teach you.

Gosh. School is almost out for me. Music here I come. o_O

Pretty awesome man.

I like this band a lot, but the guitarists are suck. Drummer kicks ass tho. ;)
How much do I have to spend to buy an al "bum" <---what I am

You sound awesome. haha.

GoreBastard responds:

Haha, cheers and beers.

Ideas.

The ideas here are pretty good, actually. I think you should develop this and keep on this one. Get it smooth, and leave the drums out.
It has a dark feel and if you worked a bit more on it, it would kick a lot of ass. If you ever decide to re work this, send me a pm. I'd be interested to see what direction it goes. So much potential.

Not bad for four strings eh? I just plugged the guitar into the computer and poured some emotions in there.

wooo...

Its hard to describe where this song took me. Has a very evil sound to it.
The vocal harmonies were quite cool, and man.. the riffs around 2 minutes melted my face...they were followed by even cooler riffs and vocal section. Goddamn man. You kicked some ass. Well mine anyways.
It would have been cool to have a bit crisper of a distortion, to make your playing not be covered by the muddyness. But I know its what you got, and kick ass with it.

So,

Extar responds:

Yeah I was trying to make it a big chorus and was experimenting with two different ways of doing the choruses, then I found that they worked well at the same time, which was pretty cool. I've been wanting to get in some 6/8 style rhythms like the bit at 2:00 for quite a while now so I'll probably do something similar to that again. I've had the riff for that mid-tempo section for a while so I was desperate to get into a song where it fitted in.
I think the problems with the distortion were caused by the downtuning on this one, I've gradually been drifting down to drop C# in this one but I haven't been using heavier gauge strings, the guitars all need setups anyway so that's on the todo list. I'm really aching to get my hands on a bigger amp as soon as I have some money.
Thanks for the review, man :D
