I really don't see the resemblence with us and Soundgarden. Yesterday i went out and bought their album from 1999. It sounded Grungey but no way Metal. Damn fine song. I really felt like I was listening to a professional piece.
The song description really helped me through the whole song.

As far as Christmas goes. Hell yeah, pretty Christmas like.

My one and only beef, would be in the way of personal preference.

I have always found Christmas songs to boast a melody, remembered by all. I know those types of 'one melody songs' can be quite boring to someone who makes this type of music (but damn good I might add). It just seemed like it could have been 3 or 4 different songs.

Anyways, man. Thats just personal preference shit.

There are a few melodies in this piece (as opposed to one, as you have mentioned). Although I wouldn't take any of them out, I could have tried to use one throughout the piece, instead of having a few distinct ones. Food for thought.
